Не нарушается ли лицензия MS Windows XP?

Многопользовательское расширение операционной системы не противоречит условиям лицензии использование ОС Windows XP, по крайней мере, наши юристы так считают. Что касается мнения Майкрософт на эту тему, здесь надо отдельно уточнить у них.

 

В основном вопрос касается операционной системы.
По Оффису и т.п. ситуация такая, что в соглашениях идет речь о том, что Вам разрешено установить программу только на один компьютер. Вы так и делаете. Вам не нужно несколько раз устанавливать программы, т.е. Вы не нарушаете лицензионное соглашение.
В конце письма приводим тексты лицензионных соглашений с Майкрософт. Здесь комментарии:


Для Windows XP, у нас одна рабочая станция. В лицензии не написано сколько пользователей могут иметь доступ к одной рабочей станции одновременно. Если мы понимаем "the additional Device" как дополнительные терминалы (рабочие места), то мы можем их подключить до 10 штук без нарушения лицензионногосоглашения.
Для Windows Vista, лицензионное соглашение позволяет использование неограниченного количества дополнительных "Devices" для подсоединения к одной рабочей станции.

1. GRANT OF LICENSE.
• Installation and use. You may install, use, access, display and run one copy of the Product on a single computer,
such as a workstation, terminal or other device (“Workstation Computer”). The Product may not be used by
more than two (2) processors at any one time on any single Workstation Computer. You may permit a maximum
of ten (10) computers or other electronic devices (each a “Device”) to connect to the Workstation Computer to
utilize the services of the Product solely for File and Print services, Internet Information Services, and remote
access (including connection sharing and telephony services). The ten connection maximum includes any indirect
connections made through “multiplexing” or other software or hardware which pools or aggregates connections.
Except as otherwise permitted by the NetMeeting, Remote Assistance, and Remote Desktop features described
below, you may not use the Product to permit any Device to use, access, display or run other executable software
residing on the Workstation Computer, nor may you permit any Device to use, access, display, or run the Product
or Product’s user interface, unless the Device has a separate license for the Product.

the licensed device from another device to share a session using Remote Assistance or similar
technologies. A “session” means the experience of interacting with the software, directly or
indirectly, through any combination of input, output and display peripherals.

For MICROSOFT WINDOWS VISTA PREMIUM
REMOTE ACCESS TECHNOLOGIES. You may remotely access and use the software installed on
the licensed device from another device to share a session using Remote Assistance or similar
technologies. A “session” means the experience of interacting with the software, directly or
indirectly, through any combination of input, output and display peripherals.
OTHER REMOTE USES. You may allow any number of devices to access the software installed on
the licensed device for purposes other than those described in the Device Connections and Remote
Access Technologies sections above, such as to synchronize data between devices.

For MICROSOFT WINDOWS VISTA HOME ULTIMATE
4. REMOTE ACCESS TECHNOLOGIES. You may access and use the software installed on the
licensed device remotely from another device using remote access technologies as follows.
· Remote Desktop. The single primary user of the licensed device may access a session from any
other device using Remote Desktop or similar technologies. A “session” means the experience
of interacting with the software, directly or indirectly, through any combination of input, output
and display peripherals. Other users may access a session from any device using these
technologies, if the remote device is separately licensed to run the software.
· Other Access Technologies. You may use Remote Assistance or similar technologies to share an
active session.
